Amazing how things seem to change but really stay the same.

In 2001, many Arabs celebrated like animals in the streets over the death of thousands of Americans killed in the World Trade Center bombings.  Then President George W. Bush lead America to war against fundamental Islamic terrorists, better know as Al Qaeda, lead by Osama Bin Laden.  The majority of the US Congress, including many Democrats agreed with going to war and gave Bush the green light.

In 2005, Senator Barack Obama campaigned and stated he was against the war from the beginning and even called the surge against Iraq led by General David Petraeus a failure.

In 2008, Americans elected Barack Obama as President.  President Obama stated he would end the war in Iraq, close Guantanamo and make Americans respected throughout the world.

Today 2011, President Obama celebrates the killing of Osama Bin Laden as an accomplishment of a military operation that he authorized.  He agrees with his predecessor President Bush on many issues to include being at war with Al Qaeda.  He has praised publicly the leader of the Iraq surge General Petraeus, and named him his new CIA Director.

You have to be amazed at the political circus.  Today Americans are celebrating death like animals in the streets just like Arabs did almost a decade ago.  We should feel better knowing this evil man, Osama Bin Laden, will no longer contribute to the killing of innocent individuals anywhere, but celebrating death is not an American value.

We all will die and what we do in life we will be held accountable for in eternity.

Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi stated: “Osama bin Laden, as we all know, had the very grave responsibility of spreading division and hatred amongst the people, causing the death of countless of people, and of instrumentalizing religion for this end,” he said. “In front of the death of man, a Christian never rejoices but rather reflects on the grave responsibility of each one in front of God and men, and hopes and commits himself so that every moment not be an occasion for hatred to grow but for peace.”
